Understanding dental benefits, as well as having proper procedures and protocols in place, can help increase practice efficiency, decrease stress, and improve cash flow.
This is a live, 4 hour virtual, one-on-one training session, using Zoom as the screen sharing platform. Because this is an advanced more in depth and personalized course direct with the instructor, completion of the ADPC online Dental Insurance Billing Course or equivalent is highly recommended.
This course will help students realize that how the dental office handles and bills insurance can be a first impression of the doctor and the practice.
Since it is a practice builder or practice breaker, it is the insurance biller's responsibility to have updated knowledge of benefit limitations, frequencies, and insurance contracts.
It is equally important to have systems in place for follow up and collections of patients' out of pocket payments.
Training sessions are available Monday – Friday. Time slots are either 9:00am-1:00pm PST or 1:00pm-5:00pm PST. Requires computer with high speed internet along with camera and speakers. Access to a printer is helpful. Contact our office to check availability and book now!
Working online, one on one with the instructor, you will learn how to:
- Obtain Information from the Patient and Verify Coverage
- Complete the Claim Form including Documentation using your software of choice
- Send X-rays, Narratives, and Attachments
- Post Insurance Payments and Adjustments
- Follow Up on Unpaid Claims
- Generate Aging Report
- Spot Most Common Errors
